The place that can satisfy their customers beyond their expectations.

Frozen Hot ChocSince 1954, Serendipity 3 has been luring customers into their shop and enticing them with their world famous signature dish, The Frozen Hot Chocolate.  I have to admit that it is the “must have” dessert when visiting them. Located for over five decades in the posh neighborhood of the Upper East Side, the quaint setting of tiffany lamps and mosaics of Serendipity 3 has had a history of people lining the streets to order their signature dish and many other various desserts that they are known for. What many locals and tourists don’t know is that they offer a variety of main course meals to satisfy your appetite.

Serendipity 3 does have a lot to offer and it turns out that they have several popular main course dishes as well. One of the popular items on the menu is the Hot Springs Wings. The beautifully displayed appetizer already made my mouth water before I even tasted it. The mix of sweet and spicy leaves a delicious tang on your taste buds and awakens the rest of your senses for more. Another good starter I would recommend is dim sum. You can’t get enough of this tasty appetizer and yet, it’s light enough and leaves room for you to enjoy your main meal.

When it comes to ordering a main course meal, I would recommend going by what you are in the mood for since there are so many eye appealing choices on the menu, there’s the old-fashion culinary we all love, to the new and exotic flavoring dishes. If you are looking for something light and healthy, try the Chicken Julia. Consisting of tender white breast meat that is lightly mixed in with a zangy sauce over mixed greens, it will have the health gurus loving their unconventional salads. If your appetite is big and you are looking for something more filling, then you can’t go wrong with the traditional Country Meatloaf drizzled in a savory gravy with mushrooms and home-style mashed potatoes. This popular favorite is meant to keep patrons appetite delighted with a sense of home. Another old-fashioned favorite that is equally satisfying is the Chicken Pot Pie that keeps customers coming back for more. Also worth of mention as an entrée is the Summer Bries. The descriptive words was what caught my eye but I never thought the taste would end up being so indescribable in a good way. I was very impressed with the creative ingredients that went into this dish. The different flavorings really complimented one another.

After having a heartfelt meal, the best way to satisfy your pallet is with dessert. And at Serendipity 3, how can you say no to dessert? Aside from the well-known Frozen Hot Chocolate, you have to try the Forbidden Broadway Sundae. A mix of a decadent chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge and topped with whipped cream has everyone melting and becoming a part of this dessert so ‘forbidden’, this one word should be taken literally. If rich chocolate isn’t your style, then the Outrageous Banana Split is definitely the next best thing on the menu. You can choose the all out version or you can get the smaller “coward’s portion” version of the banana split. Whatever your heart desires, Serendipity 3 is the place that can satisfy their customers beyond their expectations with a friendly wait-staff waiting to diligently serve and surprise you in more ways imaginable.
